About the Work
Heidi is drawn by the coastal and barren landscapes of Ireland. Her oil paintings are influenced by the richness of colour and light on a landscape/seascape and the power and energy experienced in these places.
The movement of light and shade such as and the passing of shadows on a landscape/seascape exposes the densities of darks and the luminary power of light and colour that are so alluring.
These experiences capture for Heidi a personal and emotional connection of which are explored in the studio. The aesthetics of paint combined with experiences found in a given landscape allow for her work to move towards subtle abstraction and depth in her work.
New body of work
