Heidi Morrison was born in Wales and graduated with a BA in Fine Art in Plymouth University, England. She studied a semester on an Erasmus programme in NCAD, Ireland. Her experience during this period still continues to shape the direction of her work.
After graduating Heidi settled in Ireland and now lives with her husband and four grown up children on a farm in Kill, Co.Kildare. Heidi has had solo and group shows over the years and has been previously selected for the visual Carlow Annual Open Submission. Heidi takes private commissions, she also hangs work at The Kildare Gallery at Carlton House, Co.Kildare.
Heidi has always had an interest in how the art process supports mental health and wellbeing. She decided to pursue studies in related areas. She studied in CIT Cork with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy, following this she studied a MSc in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Heidi with her husband Stephen Morrison established on their farm, Soearth Projects, a private social enterprise combining areas of the arts, mental health and environment (see soearthprojects.com). In recent times Heidi has focused her passion for painting and is now dedicating time to develop her practice.
